The successful individual will be the leader for our premier brands; Fire Fighting in Canada, Canadian Firefighter and Firehall.com. Through print, news websites, enews, events, videos and more, we reach all qualified individuals and decision makers in the industry on a national level.

As the assistant editor for HPAC Magazine you are a natural news and feature writer; a cool operator at events and conferences; good with a camera; a solid networker; and are able to develop sources and maintain relationships. You have a degree in journalism or a combination of schooling and demonstrated experience, writing samples that intrigue us and a passion for serving your audience with the information it needs. Press Feeder & Bindery Operator
These roles are instrumental in maintaining the work flow process in the print plant required to deliver a high quality print product to our customers. Both of these positions require a mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and problem solve. These positions will operate on a rotating shift.
In this role, you will be responsible for working with the bindery operators in the final assembly of the magazine. You are the last set of eyes before the magazine is sent to our readers so attention to detail is important.
As a minimum requirement for all roles, you must have a grade 12 or equivalent and be available to work different shifts as required. Operating as part of a team, you are not afraid to take on tasks needed to get the job done – heavy lifting may be required from time to time. You are also open to new challenges and learning opportunities as they arise. Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment is a must.
